Petition for Parental Rights in Education
“Whereas Wyoming’s -Governor Mead Appointed- Attorney General Peter Michael has said parents do not have the right opt their children out of state assessments”, and;
“Whereas Governor Mead, his appointed State Board of Education and the Department of Education, continue to put money before Parental Rights”, and;
“Whereas the rights of parents to make decisions as to what is in the best interest of each of their individual children should not be infringed”, and;
“Whereas parents should always be the first and final voice concerning their children’s individual educational needs”, and;
“Whereas parents alone know the needs of each of their individual children better than anyone else”, and;
“Therefore – In the interest of stopping the intrusion upon parental rights concerning their children’s education, I urge my elected representatives to sponsor and seek roll-call votes on legislation that will strengthen parental rights in education, and impose penalties on those who seek to violate those rights.”
